What an assignment looks like

Two projects from start to delivery: the challenge, our approach and the result.

Legal

International Contract Translation

Translation of complex shareholder agreements, joint-venture contracts and related annexes from EN into NL, DE and FR for a technology company completing a cross-border acquisition. All documents had to be legally sound in each jurisdiction.

Challenge

The contracts contained jurisdiction-specific clauses that needed to be formulated differently per country. Terminological consistency across three languages was critical to prevent divergent interpretations.

Approach

A team of three specialised legal translators worked in parallel, coordinated by a terminologist who compiled a multilingual glossary. Each translation was reviewed by a second legal-specialist translator.

Result

All translations delivered within four business days. The client closed the acquisition on schedule, and the documents were accepted without corrections by all notary offices involved.

Financial

Annual Report in Three Languages

Translation and DTP of a 180-page annual report from EN into NL, FR and DE for a publicly listed company. The report included financial statements, board reports, risk sections and sustainability reporting in accordance with IFRS and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Languages

Turnaround
7 days

Challenge

Tight deadline due to the regulatory filing obligation. Financial terminology had to be consistent across three languages, and the DTP had to follow the brand guidelines exactly, including charts, tables and footnotes.

Approach

Three specialised financial translators worked in parallel, supported by a terminologist managing an IFRS glossary for all three languages. A DTP specialist adapted the layout in InDesign using the client's brand templates.

Result

The annual report was delivered two days before the publication deadline. All three language versions were approved without corrections by the Board of Directors and the external auditor.

How we handle references

Confidentiality first

Much of our work falls under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), signed by everyone on your project, including freelance linguists and revisers. That is why we cannot name every client.

Where an NDA requires it, we describe a case by sector and city rather than by client name. The experiences and figures stay real; we simply remove anything that could trace back to a specific client.

In which context

The sectors behind the experiences

What a client asks of a translation depends on the sector. A law firm has different requirements from a machine builder or a brand launching a campaign.

Legal

Law firms and in-house counsel rely on us for sworn and legal translations, with translators registered with bodies such as the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI), CIOL and ITI.

How do you put together references and cases?
The experiences on this page come directly from clients. The cases describe real projects: the document, the languages, the approach and the result. We do not invent clients or figures.
How do you handle confidentiality?
A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) applies to every assignment, including freelance linguists and revisers. Where an NDA requires it, we describe a case by sector and city rather than by client name.
Do you also work for private individuals?
Yes. Alongside businesses and government bodies, we help private individuals with international documents such as diplomas, personal certificates and immigration files. Where needed we provide a sworn translation and, if the destination country requires it, an apostille under the Hague Apostille Convention 1961.
Which sectors do you have experience in?
These include legal, technical, marketing, financial, medical, healthcare and government, as well as certified documents for private individuals. For each sector we pair you with a specialist translator who has domain knowledge and the right language combination.
How quickly will I get a response to my request?
On working days you receive a response to your request within 30 minutes. For rush work we first assess the document, volume and language combination and confirm a realistic deadline in the quote.
